Drought and Famine – Tools of Global Terror?

As a White South African, battling to keep my head above water, and who DID NOT ASK for Socialist-Communists to rule my country or my life, the political and economic history of many African countries, including Somalia, is beginning to sound ominously familiar. The UNO has described the severe drought in Somalia as, “an emergency, one level short of a famine.” According to the media, some 10 million people are affected in the region that straddles Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia - dubbed the "triangle of death". (source here)

Today, Somalia is recognized as one of the poorest and most violent states in the world. This African country has experienced so many horrific wars and other disasters, since gaining its independence 51 years ago, in July 1960, that it’s near impossible to list them all in a single blog post, a post I intend keeping short, that is!

It seems that the last time Somalia enjoyed a reasonable level of stability was during the colonial era, when Christian folk were in charge of matters. One of the first tasks they undertook was the establishment of plantations in the interriverine area, known as the Shebelle Valley region where there was sufficient irrigation water for most part of the year. This project was followed by the creation of a salaried working class. In the south, the Italians laid the basis for profitable export-oriented agriculture, primarily in bananas, through the creation of plantations and irrigation systems. A reasonably stable class eventually emerged in both the north and the south, with Somalis appointed as civil servants, teachers, and soldiers. Many Somalis also became petty traders in coastal cities, and small-business proprietors. Cotton and sugarcane industries were also established during the colonial era. During the 1950’s the British created embankments to control the flow of water (called bunding). The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) also assisted with this, in the 1960s. (“Somalia: a country study.” Federal Research Division, Library of Congress. Edited by Helen Chapin Metz. 1993.)

Although Somali products never became internationally competitive, enough was produced in the country to keep its inhabitants from dying of starvation. However, after two demonic World Wars (WW I and WW II), a handful of gangsters situated in the urban areas of Somalia, who thought they were very bright, simply because they could speak, read, and write Italian and/or English, decided that it was time they challenged colonial rule…. The rest is HIS-story!

How did Somalia then become a failed state?

The answer can be found in one word:

COMMUNISM!

Siad Barre legitimated his 1969 coup d'état in terms of the national economic malaise. On 20 October 1970, the first anniversary of the coup, he announced:
"In our Revolution we believe that we have broken the chain of a consumer economy based on imports, and we are free to decide our destiny. And in order to realize the interests of the Somali people, their achievement of a better life, the full development of their potentialities and the fulfilment of their aspirations, we solemnly declare Somalia to be a Socialist State." - (source here)

Let’s briefly examine the great economic successes of the socialist experiment, as documented in the book - Somalia: a country study.

Relying on Soviet advisers and a committed group of Italian-educated Somali "leftist" intellectuals, Siad Barre announced the 1971-73 Three-Year Plan.

(The communists always have a plan, and then another plan, followed by yet another brilliant plan. All these plans cost money, but are shrewdly designed to fail – it seems! I’m quite sure that while they have their planning meetings to work out the next plan, they also plan their next excuse why the plan failed!~)

The 1971-73 communist plan emphasized a higher standard of living for every Somali, jobs for everybody, and the eradication of capitalist exploitation. (sound familiar?)

Siad Barre quickly brought a substantial proportion of the modern economy under state control. The government nationalized banks, insurance companies, petroleum distribution firms, and the sugar-refining plant and created national agencies for construction materials and foodstuffs. (sound familiar?)

The government also committed itself to providing educational and health services. (sound familiar?)

The government also established fishing cooperatives. Despite a long coastline and an estimated potential yield of 150,000 tons per year of all species of fish, in the early 1970s fishing accounted for less than 1 percent of Somalia's gross domestic product. (sound familiar?)

During 1974-75 a drought devastated the economy.

This drought, incidentally, was already foreseen in 1967 - THREE YEARS BEFORE the Communists took charge of matters. The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) foresaw the dire effects of the 1974 drought in a 1967 report they had in their possession. However, very little (in fact zero) is known about any precautionary steps (if any) taken by the new rulers of Somalia. What we do know is that Somalia was flooded with billions-upon-billions dollars worth of aid from the rest of the world. Where did all the money go to?

By January 1975, China, the United States, the European Economic Community, the Soviet Union, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Sudan, Algeria, Yugoslavia, Yemen, and others had pledged 66,229 tons of grain, 1,155 tons of milk powder, and tons of other food products. The World Bank also stepped in to support irrigation projects on STATE OWNED FARMS. These farms eventually became havens for the impoverished. Despite their potential and broad-based international support, the state owned farms and other cooperatives failed to become profitable – (sound familiar?)

*****************************

Since the outbreak of the Somali Civil War in 1991 there has been no central government control over most of the country's territory. The internationally recognized Transitional Federal Government, backed by the United Nations (who else!?!), apparently controls only a small part of the country, or so they say! Whatever the case may be, Somalia is today known as a failed state, but more importantly, it has been the safe haven for Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda affiliated al-Shabaab militia, and the headquarters from where mass killings were masterminded to take place in various locations all over the world. From this point of view the classification of Somalia as a failed state has its advantages, does it not?

Facts About Droughts:

Drought is related to a deficiency of precipitation over an extended period of time. it has absolutely nothing to do with this new radical agenda of the devil - called, “Global Warming”! Undoubtedly - the mighty UNO will utilize the famine-tragedy in Somalia to their full advantage to further this agenda.

Droughts are a common feature of climate. Almost all the developing western countries have experienced drought at some point in time. In just about every crisis situation these countries have managed to plan for the drought by storing water and by growing crops that can withstand dry spells. However, in the Horn of Africa the 1984–1985 drought led to a famine which killed 750,000 people.

The media are now telling us that 10 million people could starve to death in Africa if something is not drastically done soon! The media is further claiming that conditions will deteriorate further in the next six months. Why do I get the feeling this is one massive publicity stunt!

Predicting Drought:

In 2004 climate experts at NASA announced that they had found a way of forecasting droughts and floods months in advance. New Scientist magazine reported that NASA's Goddard Space Flight Centre in Maryland has located a series of "hotspots" in the middle of continents where changes in the moisture content in soils may signal droughts or floods to come. The link to the original news report has unfortunately vanished, but is mentioned here. See also New tool predicts drought, by Victoria University, Australia.

The bottom line is this:

The entire world has been placed under the mesmerizing evil spell of the devil! These wolves in sheep’s clothing, with their fancy suits an-all, have pulled the wool over the sheeple’s eyes and ears. The sheeple are trapped in a Sheep's Pen, and all you hear when they speak or write is, “blaaah, blaaaah!” Some, like this character for example, end their meaningless babble with - Bwahahahahahahaha!

I’m quite sure I don’t have to clarify who the wizards are - working behind the scenes, waving their magic wands all over the place, as this blog (and the sister blog) has already said quite enough on the topic.

It’s always refreshing to quote an intellectual when a vital point needs to be made:
"The famine is a politically and militarily induced affair and the culprits are: the U.S. (and its allies') 'war on terror' strategy and involvement in Somalia, IGAD [Intergovernmental Authority on Development] and its Ethiopian instrument, al-Shabaab -- and most clearly the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) -- which has yet to make any effort to come to the rescue of the population.” - Abdi Samatar - Somali-American professor at the University of Minnesota, and vice-president of the African Studies Association of North America. (source here)

Who is going to rescue the South African people from the hell of Socialist-Communism?

After months and years of so-called planning, highly-paid ANC government officials cannot even manage the country’s sewerage works, never mind the country’s scarce water resources. And - this is just the tiny tip of the iceberg!

The Somali people have the option to flee to neighbouring countries such as, Kenya and Ethiopia. What options will South Africans be left with in the future?

Great article as usual. Yet these people still breed like there is no tomorrow.

These third world savages will be half dead of hunger but will copulate like rabbits gone out of control. Wonder where they get the energy to breed if they have nothing to feed on.
